November 29th

What a day! The weather was in the 60's and crews were working everywhere. The most notable change is the parking lot. Over the last days a layer of crushed rock has been hauled, dumped, and spread evenly over the whole parking lot.

From the top of my Time Lapse Observation Post it doesn't look like much has changed this past week. However, the pile of dirt (which is actually in the new sanctuary) is hiding the concrete work that has been done. From this angle you also can't see all the work that has been done in the parking lot (to the right).Labels: Time Lapse # 3

The parking lot (this is taken from the West end looking East toward Swanson School) infrastructure is nearly complete. What you see are the concrete support bases for the light poles. What is hard to see here is the curbing the has been put in on the east and north sides of the parking lot.Sunday, November 19, 2006
November 19th

Time lapse #2. My hope is to do these at least weekly throughout the building process.

The wet weather has slowed down the work some. The concrete walls for the underground walkway are formed and partially poured. We did get temporary power installed to Kent's site trailer (in the background) and began putting in the parking lot curbing.

November 14th

I am sure there will be many firsts to share as the project continues. Today's is the first wall to be poured. This is part of "Herb's Hall". It is a passageway that goes under the choir loft allowing people to get across the chancel without having to walk across it.

Today I set up a 12 foot ladder on top of a 8 foot hill on the south side of the property so that I can take time laspe views of the construction process. Here is the first picture.

November 3rd

This is the "pad" for the church. It is outlined in a stone access road that will be used by the cement trucks that will be used to pour the footing and the concrete floor.

October 31st

Looking once again toward Castle Point from the top of the hill. On the right will be a hillside leading down to a pond with a fountain. It will be a peaceful, beautiful place to rest and reflect.
October 27th

This is the start of the parking lot which is on the south and east part of the property. It looks more like a giant sand box.... Wait till next week.
October 20th

The road is being cut in to the top of the hill. Transformation happens each day.... may it be so with us as well
October 13th

Looking at our new site from Ironwood. The entry road will be to the right of the sign. Picture the new church up on the hill, a light to all.
