July 27th

The work has begun to connect the Clay North parking lot to the Swanson School parking lot. In the center picture are the sound reflecting panels that will be going in the sanctuary. These will be hung from the ceiling on both sides (where the ceiling is painted black). The last picture shows the doors that are now installed between the cafe and the Children's worship space. In both the last two pictures you might also notice that the lights are on!

July 26th

We have begun to fine grade and hydroseed the land to the east of the building. This looks to be a pretty big project!

July 25th

The cross at the main entrance has now been painted. It gives the front a more finished look.

July 19th

The windows in the children's worship center are in as are many of the wooden doors.

July 18th

The fountain has been installed. It looks like a space ship sitting in the water right now. The next step is to get the electrical lines connected so we can fire it up.

July 17th

The restroom countertops and partitions have been installed. These rooms are so much more spacious than our current facilities. The women's restroom is on the left and the men's is on the right.

The crews are getting much accomplished this week. On the left, all of the cultured stone in the welcome area is now complete. In the middle is the framing for the two tech booth in the sanctuary (for sound / light / multimedia). On the right, we now have both hallways in the children's wing carpeted

July 9th

Carpet has been installed in all the classrooms in the Children's wing now and our Directors of Children's Ministry and our Early Childhood Program are busy working on getting the accessories ordered (teaching rugs, tables, chairs, etc)

This is the view as you come in the main entrance. On both sides of the wecome center wall will be cultured stone (left picture shows this being put in place). As you look to the right you see the cafe and the kitchenette (right picture shows the kitchenette in the background) which is getting its cabinets installed now.

July 6th - part 2

Cabinets and Countertops are being installed now. What an impact this has on the classroom space. Each countertop matches the accent color for the room and so each one is unique. The open space on the bottom next to the sink is for a refrigerator.

July 6th

Odds are no one can guess where this picture was taken !! We have worked very hard to be able to get the look shown to the right. I don't even think the building team members will be able to figure this one out......... I'll let you think on it a while

July 5th

This one needs some explaining...... This is taken from the newly designed and fabricated organ loft. This is the view from the organist perspective as she looks to the back of the sanctuary (you can see the main doors into the sanctuary in the background) and will have a great view of the sanctary and the chancel space. It now takes 6 steps up to get to the organ platform - but its worth it!

July 2nd

The retention pond is being filled now. This may take a while as it is a pretty big area. Once water is in the pond the fountain will be installed and started to keep the pind aerated and to provide for a soothing sound that blocks the road noise on Ironwood.

Jun 30th

My wife, Kim, and I enjoying the first fire in what will ultimately become the space for an outdoor amphitheater. Until that time, we may just keep the fire pit and seating areas that were developed for our youth outreach efforts that past week called "REFUEL".
