April 27th

There are now rooms in the Children's wing that are completely sheetrocked. The crews have also poured the floor of "Herb's Hall" which is the basement passage from from the right side of the chancel to the left side. The back walls of the sanctuary are also studded in so the size of the sanctuary can be seen.

April 25th

The sheetrock has started to go up in the Children's wing. That doesn't sound like a big deal but that means that all (hopefully) the electrical, plumbing, data, phone, etc is completed in these rooms too.

April 24th

The highest part of the roof was finished today as well as the 4th concrete pour that finishes out the main floor in the lobby and back part of the sanctuary. Most of the electrical and plumbing has been completed in the children's wing, the big windows are being put into place, and the big switchgear has been placed in the building.

April 23rd

The concrete was poured on the sloped section of the sanctuary floor today. This was the toughest of the 4 pours for this project, but it went very smoothly.

April 20th

This was much more impressive in person. The sight, sound, and whirlwind of dust in the air along with the speed at which the team placed the 11 HVAC units was amazing.

April 15th part 2

Standing in the back hallway are Scott, Mark, and Kenny. The first two are helping with our Friday lunches for construction crews and Kenny is our laiasion with our bank. Lots of room in these hallways for kids and parents to get to and from their Sunday School rooms.

April 15th

Here is a view you will never see once the building is done as it is taken from the roof looking through the wall to the sanctuary.

April 14th

This may not excite many of you out there, but here is the first copper plumbing to be put into the building !!

April 13th

This is a unique view. Standing on the chancel facing congregation and looking straight up. Close to the center of the picture you can see where there will be two windows that will allow sunlight to shine on the cross and the back of the chancel.

April 6th

Standing in the lobby and looking left. The main restrooms are in the foreground and the library and prayer room are in the back. To the left of the red columns is a hallway and just to the right of the red columns will be classrooms

April 5th

The back wall of the sanctuary is closed in (which keeps the cold north wind out!) and the concrete foundation for the chancel has been poured. This picuture is taken from the back of the sanctuary

April 3rd

This is a view of all the conduit that is coming up into the trench which will be under the A/V tech booths (in the back of the sanctuary). I don't know how they keep all of this straight as there are going to be wires going everywhere to control lights, sound, video projection, and cameras.

April 2nd

The room layout has started in the Children's ministry area. The picture to the right shows the bottom track for the classroom walls on the north side of the building. Track has been put in place for most of the rest of the walls in the Children's area too. If you want to see this first hand; all are welcome to visit the Clay North for a prayer walk after our Thursday 7:00 pm Maundy Thursday service.
